The Prompt
During my time at the Mississippi Museum of Art, I was able to create the marks seen here to promote different museum events and programs.
The words, Mississippi Byways, set in a logo lockup that resembles a vintage sign.
Mississippi Byways Design
The Museum was awarded a grant to travel throughout the state documenting working artists. This project was designed to be shared in the moment on social media as well as the ultimate research archive. I create a “sign-post” mark to use in photographs and videos shared on social media.
The words, Eye Level Art Sale, below a blue, tilted rectangle with an eye illustration inside.
Eye Level Design
The Museum had a large and loyal following of seasoned art collectors. In an effort to make collecting accessible, a new program was developed to showcase works at a lower price point for people interested in beginning their own collections. I used line work, flat color, and modern type to capture the youthful, novice feeling of a new buyer.
The words, Museum 24, inside a clock.
Museum24 Design
To celebrate the end of an exhibition, the Museum began staying open for the last 24 hours of viewing with programming, special guests, and family activities. I designed this stamp-like mark to accompany any exhibition title design to market this unique–and very successful–program.
The words, ‘Sipp Sources with Chef Nick Wallace, beside the outline of the western side of the state of Mississippi.
'sipp sourced Design
Award-winning Chef Nick Wallace began an initiative with the Museum to highlight local growers and food suppliers in the state. I designed this logo for marketing purposes as well as packaging.
