The Prompt
Vulcan Park & Museum partnered with the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport to create an exhibit highlighting the history and influence of Birmingham, AL.
The exhibit consists of three-window displays that explore the history of the airport, how the mining industry built the city, and how the Vulcan stands to represent the past and future of Birmingham.
The Design
The challenge of this design was to find a way to include large amounts of text in a way that was engaging, readable, and complemented the displayed objects. Colors and type were taken from Vulcan Park & Museum’s brand while photos and illustrations were provided by the airport and Birmingham archives and history.
